The mobile browser will let iOS mobile device users easily connect to the ethereum blockchain, use dapps, and make crypto transactions.
Much like the Android version of the browser, the iOS version of Opera Touch also comes with a built-in crypto wallet.
“We believe that all modern browsers should integrate a crypto wallet,” said Opera’s head of crypto operations, Charles Hamel. “This will enable new business models to emerge on the web.”
Ethereum Web3 API support also means users can seamlessly interact with dapps on the ethereum blockchain without having to fiddle with extra browser extensions and plugins.
“Before Opera entered the cryptocurrency scene almost a year ago, using cryptocurrencies online and accessing Web 3 required special apps or extensions, which made it difficult for people to even try it out,” Hamel said.
“Our browsers remove that friction.”
