Mining Giant Bitmain Opens MW Mining Plant in Texas

  • Bitmain settled in Texas because of its steady and proficient power supply. 
  • The mining and software manufacturing tycoon intends to establish the world’s biggest Bitcoin mining center. 

Leading Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) maker Bitmain has begun a 50-megawatt mining plant in Rockdale, Texas. The mining center has been established inside the Rockdale Municipal Development District (MDD) and DMG.

The new expansion falls in accordance with Bitmain’s goal to grow its worldwide presence. The company was pulled in to Texas because of the steady and proficient electricity resources.

“Bitmain completes construction of 50MW mining facility in #Rockdale #Texas. The project is set to create jobs in the area and plans to work with the local district to provide education and training on blockchain technology and data center operations,” Bitmain said through Twitter.

Bitmain wants to build the biggest Bitcoin mining office on the planet. The development of the 50 MW center is only the start as Bitmain plans to work to an incredible 300 MW mining center. The supplier of electricity for the plant is the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
