Google has now restored MetaMask’s Android app after suspending it a week ago.
MetaMask revealed the news on January 1, saying that Google made the choice after “careful consideration.”
A week ago, Google suspended MetaMask’s application, citing its policy of prohibiting digital currency mining apps from its Android store. MetaMask doesn’t offer mining services; it is a browser extension that enables clients to run Ethereum decentralized applications or dapps.
MetaMask had likewise made an appeal, which Google dismissed at the time. As the app has already been restored, MetaMask stated the experience has made it “stronger” and “more resilient.”
MetaMask has around 264,000 monthly dynamic users. The app has been mimicked a few times previously, trying to get victims’ crypto-related credentials.
