Blockshipping Opens ICO, Launches Prototype Video of GSCP Platform

On May 14, Monday, the Blockshipping GSCP Initial Coin Offering (ICO) will open for public sale. While achieving a successful ICO has been the main focus, the team behind Blockshipping has also achieved significant progress in product development.

The team’s top priority at the moment is delivering the Global Shared Container Platform (GSCP) in time as they promised, and now they are launching the first in a series of prototype videos showing some of the platform’s services and functionalities under development.

Blockshipping, in parallel with ICO preparations, is working to reach the first milestones of the GSCP’s development.

The platform will include more than 34 different products and services when fully developed. These products and services are all related to the global handling of freight containers for a wide range of partners in the shipping industry. Blockshipping is now producing a series of easy-to-understand demonstration videos to allow future users and ICO contributors to visualize some of the services and functionalities of the GSCP.

Launched today, the initial prototype video shows a glimpse of one of the earliest GSCP prototypes concerning the “street turn” method or “triangulation.” Because there is no neutral and trusted platform in the industry, street turn costs savings opportunities of around $750 million per annum are not being realized by carriers. GSCP aims to radically change this.

This strategy allows the container shipping industry to significantly increase empty shipping container handling efficiency. Through making use of the GSCP’s street turn method, it will be easy for users to find street turn matching opportunities which enable empty containers to be directly moved from local consignees to the local shippers – significantly reducing the number of truck trips to and from container terminals.

As Blockshipping focuses on the fulfillment of the development plan for GSCP and due to the fact that the reception of the platform has been overwhelmingly positive in the shipping industry, Blockshipping has already attracted a global container carrier as its first customer and user of the platform.

Blockshipping CEO Peter Ludvigsen says, “I am extremely proud to say that a few days ago Blockshipping obtained confirmation from a global container carrier that they will join our GSCP platform as our first customer. This is a carrier in the 10-20 global ranking who has also confirmed that they will join our Customer advisory board.”

He then says that to have their first customer this early is extremely important for the company’s credibility and trustworthiness which it needs to attract ICO contributors and for the success of its ICO.

He continues, saying “I really believe that people can see for themselves that Blockshipping is going to fulfill every promise and develop a truly revolutionary global platform that will highly benefit both the shipping industry, the global environment and the contributors buying our CCC tokens during the ICO.”
