Bitmain, the world’s largest Bitcoin miner manufacturer, has recently unveiled its next-generation 7nm Antminer 17 series ahead of its forthcoming release date.
As detailed in the company’s announcement published April 8, crypto mining giant Bitmain has just announced the new Antminer 17 series’ release date along with its specifications. Set to be officially launched worldwide on April 9, the new 17 series mining equipment will include the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and Antminer T17.
According to the announcement, all three miners come with significant hashrate and power efficiency upgrades and will be operating using the new 2nd generation 7nm BM1397 mining chips.
Featuring three mining models, the Antminer S17 Pro also comes in two variants, a 50 TH/s and a model, providing better customization, allowing users to accommodate a number of mining requirements, with options to switch between different settings. As the company touted, while the S17 Pro operates at 39.5 J/TH under normal mode, the equipment can be set to either low-power, allowing the miner to operate at 39.5 J/TH, or turbo mode, which has a power efficiency of 45 J/TH.
Like the S17 Pro, the Antminer S17 also offers two variants, a 56 TH/s and a 53 TH/s model, both of which are also capable of mining either under normal mode with a power efficiency of 45 J/TH, or 42 J/TH under low-power mode.
While the Antminer T17 is slated to be released at a later date, the company noted that the Antminer series will be released in two batches and will be available for sale between April 8 to 10, according to the specified timings by region.
